One Line Review | - | For Better Or Worse I Take Thee. |
Review - Ok, so it's stoopid. Poorly written, acted, and all the lot. In fact some segments feel entirely overdone and pointless. It's less story telling than The Phantom Menace (which seems impossible) but kicks it's predecessors butt in action and fun. I won't drone on about specifics but am adamant about you going out and seeing Attack of the Clones for yourself. Do it before the surprises are spoiled. There are plenty of them and they make the 2 hours and 20 minutes well worth your money.
Concerning the mythology. I'm pleased with the way George Lucas has chosen to unfold his story. The storyline differs significantly from what my comrades and I have put together in the years between films and I was pleased that I hadn't predicted most of what was shown to me. It creates many new avenues to explore during the 3-year (and countless beers) hiatus between films.
One note worthy of mention is a scene in which Anakin fully posses the beautiful black visage (thanks Kevin Smith) of Darth Vader. Dressed fully in black and a menacing scowl shrouding his face, Hayden Christensen fully embodies his character's future self. That one scene, for me, was the highlight of the film and worth every penny spent and every moment I stood in line.
