Into the Deep/Mysteries of Egypt
Sent $80 at the IMAX Theater this weekend. Make sure you want to go there before you kick the money down. Here are the reviews of the 2 films we saw there.
Note: Fantasia 2000 opens at the Esquire IMAX theater on Kst. This Jan 1st. It's set for a 4 month run and we caught the trailer for it this weekend. On the IMAX screen this film will be difficult to top. Featuring 7 new animation sequences and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. If you're a fan of animation or classical music you won't want to miss this. Egypt on an 8 story screen...It's about as close as I'm ever gonna get to the Nile or those confounded Pyramids and National Geographic takes me there for $8.00, I can't beat that.
Review - Mysteries of Egypt is a great visual treat. From the Pyramids in Giza, and the Valley of the kings, to helicopter shots of the Nile in all her peace and fury. (My friends had to close their eyes during the flybys cause they were gonna get sick). A few computer
generated reconstructions and some re-enactments of a Pharaoh’s burial and the building of the Pyramids offer enough enjoyment for your cash.
At least, It's better than Everest.
