Review - The Morgan Freeman production of James Patterson (II)'s novel is a good film that failed to blow my skirt up. I admit I was no fan of the Patterson/Freeman vehicle, Kiss The Girls; the sequel to Along Came A Spider. Neither film impressed me.
This is one of those reviews that I'll never be happy with. It's a well-constructed and executed film. Freeman, Monica Potter, and Michael Wincott do very well but it was a little less than interesting to me than I had thought. Maybe the fault lies in the fact that I, personally, didn't feel impressed. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the likes of darker suspense thrillers and Along Came A Spider felt a little more mundane to me.
I will say that for a bargain price, you won't feel as though you've been robbed of 2hours of your life. You're more likely to enjoy Along Came A Spider than hate it, but like me, in the end you can take it or leave it.
